Muse
His eyes like passageways
To a deeper truth
Drawing me in
Teasing my curiosity
I don’t want to look away
I want to know more
His smile that of a child’s
So pure, so real
Resembling an infection
It quickly spreads
Jumping from his face to mine
It is not just a smile of the lips
But a smile that shines through
Twinkling form the eyes iris
His arms like the beach
Warm and relaxing
Protective and understanding
Safety in the form of limbs
All worries are forgotten
Like a case of amnesia
I melt instantly
Time with him is like sleep
Unreal, dreamy
There are no problems
Just happiness
Infectious
Contagious
Laughter and happiness
Being with him
Is like a state of hypnosis
Under his control
Not understanding what is happening to me
Yet wishing it won’t stop
It is a fire inside me
Energy I cannot explain
An overload of emotions
Too overwhelming to think about
Like a cancer
It has taken over
Like a bottle of exploding carbon
Too much for my body to handle
One loves their dog
Love doesn’t begin to describe how I feel
There are no words
All I can do is give
Hold my heart
Play with it
Like god my fate Is in your hands

Love to Dance, Dance for Love
The spotlight, center stage
Stage fright, I’m not afraid
This is my life, center stage
Nothing new to me
I’m not afraid
It’s quite comforting actually
Having everyone think they know you
Then no one really tries to
Music is the only one who knows me
It starts in my ears through my knees
Vibrating to my toes
Anxious to show you my heart
When I twirl like this do you see I’m frustrated
You hate it, I love it
When I kick like this do you see anger
Does this fall tell of the salt I cry at night
Music bangs from the speakers
Carbon Dioxide jumps from my lungs
Emotions drip from my pores
So much locked inside
Going home, tired, drained
Practice is over
Sweaty, exhausted, every muscle sore
Why does he look at me that way?
It’s night, I don’t rest
Not from sadness, but butterflies
The salt has dried
The ringing telephone makes my heart jump
Spotlight, don’t need one
Do you see how I glow?
When I jump like this do you see my heart bursting?
Does my smile take over your lips?
Center stage, this is our life
With the spotlight comes rumors, lies
He knows all of me, I’m not afraid
Love will pull us through
When I dance do you see I’m happy?
